Northly ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Authentication provider information (Apple ID or Google account identifier)
Conversation Data
When you use the coaching feature, we collect:
- Messages you send to the AI coach
- Responses generated by the AI
- Conversation timestamps
Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- App usage patterns and feature interactions
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- Crash reports and performance data
Subscription Information
For premium subscribers, we receive from Apple or Google:
- Subscription status and plan type
- Transaction identifiers
- Subscription start and renewal dates
We do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide personalized AI coaching responses
- Maintain conversation history for continuity
- Process and manage your subscription
- Send important service notifications
- Improve our AI coaching capabilities
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. AI Processing
Your conversations are processed by AI services to generate coaching responses:
- OpenAI: Processes your messages to generate text responses. Messages are sent to OpenAI's API and are subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- ElevenLabs: For voice mode, text is converted to speech using ElevenLabs, subject to their Privacy Policy.
We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your data is processed solely to provide you with coaching responses.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using:
- Supabase: Cloud database with encryption at rest and in transit
- RevenueCat: Subscription management with industry-standard security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Conversation history: Retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted
- Usage data: Retained in aggregate form for analytics
You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers: As described above (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Supabase, RevenueCat)
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Portability: Export your conversation history
- Opt-out: Disable optional notifications
